To all our Titan Families,

This is a very busy time of year.  Many teams have tournaments or playoffs this month with tryouts following right behind in April. There is a lot happening, so here is a quick update:

Tryouts start in early April for Juniors and Midgets; mid-April for youth teams (Squirt, Bantam, Peewee) and toward the end of the month, along with the Mites we tryout our first ever girls only teams.  Follow the link to see the schedule.  By the way, you can save money by paying your tryout fees during March.
I wanted to give all of our families a sneak preview of our 2008-2009 Jr. Titans 10th Anniversary Program Brochure.  We are excited about the growth and accomplishments of the club, and this book is a way to introduce new people to the Jr. Titans, and to share with all of our members the proud history of their club.  Follow the link at the bottom for tryout dates.
We have made improvements to the program for next year.  Highlights include:
·        22 home game slots (up from 18)
·        T2: 1 solo team practice, 1 combo practice per week
·        2 dryland sessions per week included
·        More teams at both T1, T2
·        Same coloring for helmets, shells, socks, etc
While the travel season is coming to a close, there is plenty of hockey at the rink.  Our first spring Middle School and High School in-house league is starting up.   We also have a 3 on 3 cross ice mini-tournament on 3/22, which is a full day of hockey for $30.       The next Eastern Showcase clinics start on 3/17, giving you a tune-up for tryouts (details below). Eastern Showcase teams for Spring and Summer tournaments will be selected in April.  This year we are sending teams to the Philadelphia Shootout, the Ronald McDonald in Toronto Canada, the Mini Chowder Cup in Foxboro, Mass, the Pre-Draft in Foxboro MA, the Eastern Showcase in Wall, NJ the Jr. and Senior Chowder Cups in Foxboro, MA and the Monarchs Summer Showdown in Hookset, NH.
Dustin Depalma, our Junior B coach is also coaching Team New Jersey for the Chicago Showcase tournament in April.   Interested HS Junior/Senior varsity players are invited Tuesday, March 18th @8PM.

Our Titan House League has been a great success.  Many of these players continue to improve as their season progresses and a good number of these players will be trying out for our travel teams.  The PeeWee 95 and the Junior B teams both have a real shot to make some noise on the national stage.  It’s a long road, but both teams are well prepared for the challenges to come.  Good Luck to them and to all of our teams headed to tournaments this month.
George
