In a game that looked anything like a PeeWee contest, 2 very talented teams met at Wall this afternoon.  The opponent for the Pee Wee Major Titans was their nemesis the NJ Rockets.  The Rockets were previously undefeated in district play and are ranked as one of the top 12 year old squads in the country.   After a hard hitting scoreless first they took the lead with a power play goal early in the 2nd.  Penalties have been a problem for the Titans this season, but discipline was strong for them today and they had only 3.  The Rockets would take 9, including an unsportsmanlike and it would haunt them.  Late in the second, Trevor Heuser scored from Matt Weiss after 2 Rocket penalties, and right after that,  Nicholas Minerva  from Lucas Habich for a second powerplay goal for the Titans to put them up 2-1 with 18 minutes left.

George Blinick would carry them home with 26 saves, plus one helpful post.  The post came after the Titans got a penalty with 2:25 to play. The Rockets sent everyone but the kitchen sink at the goal, but the Titans held fast.  The defenders cleared the puck time after time.  The post was a sweet sound as the shot bounced harmlessly to the corner.  Another clear and time ran out; the Titans rushed their keeper for a very sweet victory.
