Playing in their first season as a group, with many of them with none or limited travel experience, the early season was tough for the T1 Squirt Minor Team.  The AYHL competition is comprised of some teams that have played 2 years of Mite Hockey at the A level.  As such their initial games included a fair number of lopsided defeats.  But progress is the name of their game.  After suffering a 9-1 drubbing at the hands of the Mercer Chiefs earlier this year, the kids showed this weekend just how far they have come since that initial meeting.

They lost the game, but certainly were well in it.  Jessica Haviland scored one and assisted on another.  Ryan Walker also had 2 helpers.  Zach Berzolla, James Marabeti, and Matt Swan picked up the other Titan goals.  Spencer Reu made 18 saves.  There were lead changes, penalty kills, power play goals where they were in it to the finish. The 6-4 final was not as indicitive of just how close this game was.  Congratulations players and coaches.  Remember, the other teams are getting better throughout the season as well, so the progress is more impressive.
