September 2007

amhl.jpgThe Junior B team played in front of a large home crowd and bested the Rockets 4-2 friday night at Wall. The game was intense and hard hitting from the beginning, and there were plenty of penalties, including a fight.  The Titans prevailed in their home opener and are now 3-0 and atop the Jim Dowd Division.  If you were at the rink, you were treated to another fine game next door.  The U16 T1 Midget full season team tied a very good Colonials squad 3-3 in a game that saw the Titans score an apparent game winner, a fraction of a second after the final horn.  Both teams had some good chances in the overtime, but came up deadlocked.  There is plenty of good live hockey to see at the arena, come on out!

ejhl.jpgTonight our Junior B team played the NJ Hitmen, a member of the EJHL Junior A League.  It was an exhibition game at the new rink in Toms River and our guys were very competitive.  While they lost the game 4-2, the  outcome was in doubt until the 3rd.  We tied them through 2 periods 2-2.  This is great progress for our program and sends a good message to the league that our desire for Jr A status next season is serious, and our team is quite good.  Congratulations to Coach DePalma and the boys.

Start off the season by watching our NJ Junior Titans take on the NJ Rockets!

The hockey season is getting started for the youngest Titans.  Mite players are getting their uniforms, and they begin play shortly.  We also have a large initiation program with the ice full of kids with sticks in their hands, most for the first time.  Coaches, we could use the help on Sunday mornings @9:15-1030.  Wrangling these 4-8 year olds is a rewarding time and sure to make you smile.

I hope you will come back often as we intend to use this as a club newsletter.
